Bhakti yoga is very much a religious form of yoga that is often called devotional yoga. The aim is that the person practising the yoga is called the bhakta and through the practise they form a relationship with the lord. It is very much a way of life and includes ideals such as vegetarianism and worship. For that reason this form of yoga may not be for everyone.
As a largely religious practise Bhakti yoga could be really great for those who want to increase their spiritual level. Religion is very important to a lot of people and the feeling of connection with the higher spirit. However practise can also have the benefits of reducing stress and anxiety as well as helping people to maintain a peace of mind.
