Therapy Details for Rolfing
Description

Rolfing is a form of body work that uses a lot of the techniques of deep tissue massage. However it does not just work on the surface of the body but also goes deeper to reshape the body’s myofascial structure. Rolfing will work by applying pressure and energy in the body and help to balance the body again. It is thought that the vertical line is ideal for the body and it will aim to realign the body and improve the posture so that the body can remain on that vertical line.

Rolfing has a large number of benefits, many of which are seen be traditional forms of massage. These include improved posture, reduced stress, relief from aches and pains and a general sense of wellbeing. Rolfing is also a great therapy for athletes who use it to remain in top condition. Specific conditions that can benefit from Rolfing include chronic back, neck, shoulder, and joint pain, and repetitive stress injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome.
