Description
Cell salt therapy was developed in the 1870s by W.H. Schussler and uses 12 tissue salts. The aim is to use these salts to correct metabolic deficiencies in the body. The therapy is very similar in the way it is administered to homeopathy and so you may see them used in conjunction. A list of the 12 cell salts are below:
- Calcarea fluor (calcium fluoride)
- Calcarea phos (calcium phosphate)
- Calcarea sulph (calcium sulfate)
- Ferrum phos (iron phosphate)
- Kali mur (potassium chloride)
- Kali phos (potassium phosphate)
- Kali sulph (potassium sulfate)
- Magnesia phos (magnesium phosphate)
- Natrum mur (sodium chloride)
- Natrum phos (sodium phosphate)
- Natrum sulph (sodium sulfate)
- Silicea (silica)
It is thought that cell salts can be used to create a general sense of well being. In addition to that they can all be used to treat different conditions including circulatory diseases, varicose veins, haemorrhoids, and hardening of the arteries, colds, flu, and inflammation, cramps, gout, skin problems, body odour and many mental conditions.
